Murder Charges Filed Against Andrew F. Rodriguez (34) in Pismo Beach Stabbing Death

District Attorney Dan Dow announced today the filing of murder charges against Andrew Frederick Rodriguez. The Criminal Complaint alleges that Rodriguez is responsible for the stabbing death of Jonathan Campbell Perez (39) which occurred on September 11, 2024, in the city of Pismo Beach.

After sufficient evidence was collected by law enforcement and reviewed by the District Attorney's Office, Andrew Frederick Rodriguez (DOB 11/22/1989) was charged with murder. He is scheduled for arraignment on the charge of murder this afternoon, September 17, 2024, in Department 3 of the San Luis Obispo County Superior Court.

Criminal charges are merely allegations of criminal conduct. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent until the contrary is proven beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

This case is being prosecuted by Deptuty District Attorney Kimberly Dittrich and investigated by the Pismo Beach Police Department and the District Attorney's Bureau of Investigation.
