Town of Big Flats - Tanglewood Canopy Walkway Project

Negative Declaration

Chemung County - The Town of Big Flats Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Tanglewood Canopy Walkway Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal by Tanglewood Nature Center to construct an ADA accessible canopy walkway and access trail, and redevelop parking improvements, signage, lighting, and associated improvements to the existing Tanglewood Nature Center. The canopy walkway is proposed to consist of 30 foot by 30 foot entrance platform constructed of timber, flat ADA wood structure walkway, emergent tower with a max height approximately 70 foot above grade, approximately 94 foot long suspension bridge with support pole approximately 80 foot above grade, and observation platform approximately 60 foot above grade. The project is located at 443 Coleman Avenue in Elmira, Town of Big Flats, New York.
