'UWO Now' podcast: Two Radio TV Film grads talk about making it in broadcasting

The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Radio TV Film program has turned out dozens of successful graduates. Two of them who converted their degrees into successful careers with far-reaching impacts in the industry, will be honored at the 2024 Alumni Awards Celebration on Homecoming Weekend.

Wendell Ray, host of UWO Now podcasts, conducted interviews with the pair as they talked about the way UW Oshkosh helped guide them to their careers and in life.

• Kenton Barber '17, of Los Angeles, California, works as a television network Steadicam owner/operator and specialty camera operator, working in television sports (including the Olympics, Kentucky Derby, pro and college football), esports, music videos, new, live events and film.
• John Close '76, of Charlotte, North Carolina, retired recently after a long career in motorsports, where he served as a journalist, author, marketer, team member and race day spotter.
