Household Hazardous Waste Day

Got unused paint, pool chemicals, pesticides and fertilizers? Clear out your garage and safely dispose of any unwanted household hazardous items at the city's free collection day! Join us Saturday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Daytona Beach residents can drop off items at the Public Works Facility, 950 Bellevue Ave. Please note the following items will not be accepted:

• fuel
• gas cans
• tires
• gas-powered lawn equipment (like mowers and trimmers)

Proof of residency is required, and no commercial hazardous waste will be accepted.
