"Awareness is crucial in the ongoing fight against glioblastoma," said Congressman Williams. "This resolution brings hope to patients and their families as they fight this devastating disease. Together, we will continue to build on the progress we have made as we search for a cure to end this disease."
"For six years now, the U.S. House of Representatives has joined with the Senate in introducing this critical, bipartisan and bicameral resolution to raise awareness for one of the worst cancers imaginable, glioblastoma," said David Arons, President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Brain Tumor Society. "The annual Glioblastoma Awareness Day resolution is an important marker that members of Congress from both parties recognize the importance of this cause and a signal of their intent to prioritize and support the glioblastoma community. We thank Representative Williams for his leadership on this issue, as well as the resolution's bipartisan original cosponsors, Representatives Jan Schakowsky, Brian Mast, and Jake Auchincloss. We look forward to more members of the House, and the American public, joining us to commemorate Glioblastoma Awareness Day this year."
