Congressman Williams Introduces Resolution in Support of Glioblastoma Awareness Day

"Awareness is crucial in the ongoing fight against glioblastoma," said Congressman Williams. "This resolution brings hope to patients and their families as they fight this devastating disease. "For six years now, the U.S. House of Representatives has joined with the Senate in introducing this critical, bipartisan and bicameral resolution to raise awareness for one of the worst cancers imaginable, glioblastoma," said David Arons, President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Brain Tumor Society. "The annual Glioblastoma Awareness Day resolution is an important marker that members of Congress from both parties recognize the importance of this cause and a signal of their intent to prioritize and support the glioblastoma community. Background:

• In 2023, there were approximately 14,490 new cases of glioblastoma diagnosed in the United States.
• Glioblastoma is the most common malignant brain tumor, accounting for approximately half of all primary malignant brain tumors.
