THE ELEMENT FEDERAL CREDIT UNION SPONSORS CONCORD UNIVERSITY ESPORTS

ATHENS, WV - Charleston based company, Element Federal Credit Union has become a sponsor of Concord University's Esports Program, beginning with a check presentation in the amount of $10,000 on August 1st. The two-year agreement includes another $6,000 to be given in sponsorship funds during fiscal year 2025-26.

Element FCU is a financial co-op based in Charleston, West Virginia, which provides resources and support to individuals and organizations seeking to make a difference in the community, such as workshops, seminars, and other services.

The sponsorship will help further develop Esports in West Virginia. President Kendra Boggess and the Concord Esports team traveled to Charleston to meet Element Federal Credit Union's CEO, Linda Bodie and tour the brand new Esports facility, which will be used for community outreach to help bridge the gap between today's generation and financial education.

Linda Bodie says of the opportunity, "Element Federal Credit Union is proud to support Concord University's Esports program. As a financial cooperative dedicated to entrepreneurship, innovation, financial empowerment, and community development, we believe these elements are crucial in transforming opportunities for youth. This sponsorship reflects our own initiatives at The Element Edge in Charleston, West Virginia, where we harness the power of Esports programs to enrich our community. Our goal is to brighten lives and empower individuals to achieve success throughout their lifetime."
