PUMPKIN COMPOSTING PROGRAM

Collected pumpkins will be composted in the windrow composting system located at the Sun Prairie Wastewater Treatment Plant. Finished compost will be available for residents in spring of 2025.

Please note that a permit is required to utilize the Recycle Center. Permits are free for Sun Prairie residents and can be obtained here. Throughout the month of November, the Recycle Center will be open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9am to 5pm, and on Saturdays from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
