Chris Barrera, Fire Department

Join us in congratulating Engineer Chris Barrera as the Baytown Chamber of Commerce Firefighter of the Quarter!

Known by many as "Topher the chauffeur," Engineer Christopher Barrera began his firefighting career as a volunteer in Dickinson in 1993. After enrolling at College of the Mainland, he was hired by the Port of Houston, where he served for 5 years. He joined the Baytown Fire Department as a Firefighter in 2002, and promoted to Engineer in 2017. Eng. Barrera has been assigned to Station 1 for a majority of his career and also holds an inspector role in the Fire Marshal's Office. He is also a key member of the Apparatus Committee, contributing to the design and development of the department's apparatus.
