LIVONIA, MICH. - New board members at Madonna University add their expertise, experience, and sense of altruism. The following distinguished leaders have been appointed to the board of trustees for three-year terms: Most Reverend Arturo Cepeda, auxiliary bishop Archdiocese of Detroit; Cheryl Doelker, retired president of JCD Group Inc.; Terry Harvill, Ph.D., managing director, Laclede Economic Consulting, LLC; Roch McClain, Real Estate Advisor/Broker, RXMc Consulting, LLC; LaDonna Myers, director, Management Support Office, United States Department of Defense; and Scott Seabolt, attorney with Hickey Hauck Bishoff Jeffers & Seabolt, PLLC.
Madonna University's board members provide direction and make decisions on such matters as academic programming, investment strategies, resource development goals, and operating budgets.

Bishop Arturo Cepeda serves as auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Detroit. He fills a trustee seat vacated by Auxiliary Bishop Donald Hanchon, also of the Archdiocese of Detroit. In 2011, Pope Benedict XVI named the Most Reverend Arturo Cepeda, a priest from San Antonio, as auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Detroit. H was ordained by Archbishop Allen Vigneron, becoming the youngest bishop in the United States at age 41.
Bishop Cepeda serves as vicar for Hispanic ministry and immigration for the archdiocese and as director for the Department of Evangelization, Catechesis and Schools. He has served on several committees for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, including as chair of the Committee on Cultural Diversity in the Church.
Born in Mexico, Bishop Cepeda immigrated to the U.S. with his family at age 19. He earned a bachelor's degree in religious studies with a minor in psychology from the College Seminary of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Santa Fe, N.M. He earned a Master of Divinity degree from San Antonio's Assumption Seminary, and a Master of Arts in Biblical theology from St. Mary's University in San Antonio. He was asked to study at St. Thomas Aquinas "Angelicum," Pontifical University in Rome, where he received a licentiate and doctorate of sacred theology. He was ordained a priest in 1996.
Cheryl Doelker served as president for JCD Group Inc., Livonia, Mich. until she retired in 2023. For more than 20 years, Doelker owned and managed nine Jimmy John's restaurants in Western Wayne County, that employed more than 200 workers, many of them college students. Prior to becoming a Jimmy Johns franchise owner, Doelker worked in medical technology sales and service, and as a senior laboratory consultant, providing workflow analysis and automation consulting to leading hospitals in the U.S., Belgium, Mexico, and Australia.
A member of several Chambers of Commerce in Southeast Michigan, she served as chair of the Livonia, now Livonia-Westland, Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber honored her with Livonia's Legacy Award in 2024.
Doelker was one of the first five business leaders to volunteer as a mentor in Madonna's School of Business Mentorship program. She earned a bachelor's degree in medical technology from Wayne State University. Doelker's mother, husband Jeff, and son Dan are Madonna University alumni.
Terry Harvill is president and founder of Laclede Economic Consulting LLC. Laclede Economics is an energy and environmental economic consultancy based in Northville, Mich. He served in several senior leadership positions, including president of ITC Grid Development, LLC, a division of ITC Holdings Corporation, in Novi, Mich. Harvill also has worked at DTE Energy, for the Illinois Commerce Commission, and the Illinois Office of the Governor.
He has served on several boards and currently serves on the Detroit Zoological Society, Board of Directors, the Harvard Electricity Policy Group, Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government, and the Illinois State University, Department of Economics, Board of Advisors. He has written articles on such topics as the electricity crisis, competitive energy, and deregulation, for Chicago Sun-Times, Illinois Manufacturer Magazine, and others. He received the Crain's Chicago Business 40 Under 40 Award.
Harvill earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in economics at Illinois State University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in economics, at the University of Illinois, Chicago.
Roch McClain, an experienced and effective commercial/industrial real estate professional, brings a wealth of experience working with non-profit organizations. As principal for RXMc Consulting, McClain provides real estate and business planning and consulting services to local charitable organizations and businesses. Prior to establishing his own firm in 2017, McClain spent 27 years in several leadership positions at General Motors. He led teams and managed the real estate requirements for North American Operations, International Operations, and the South America, Asia Pacific, Africa, and Middle Eastern Regions, as well as in Detroit and California. He managed real estate projects in North America for Volkswagen of America, and started his career as a sales representative for Treadwell Real Estate Company.
McClain gives back to the community as an advisor at the Pope Francis Center and a Guest Advocate for the PBJ Ministry where he works to alleviate poverty by helping to distribute food to the homeless and or less fortunate in Detroit.
He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Michigan, and an MBA with a finance concentration from the University of Detroit.
LaDonna Myers is a U.S. Air Force veteran with more than 20 years of experience in strategic communications, international protocol, and business operations management. She was one of the first members of the United States Space Force Task Force. Myers currently serves as director of the Management Support Office, for the Department of Defense, in Washington DC. While with the Space Force, she was director of mission support, and director of staff for the planning task force. She also has served as protocol director for the U.S. Army Europe and Africa, in Germany, and U.S. Strategic Command, in Nebraska.
Myers founded Myers and Associates, LLC in 2020, through which she provides business engagement strategies to senior-military leaders, Fortune 500 executives, universities, and other entrepreneurs, on what she refers to as the art and science of relationship building and soft-power application.
Myers earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and public relations at Madonna University and a Master of Public Administration degree from Troy University. She achieved a certificate in Protocol at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research.
Scott Seabolt, an experienced trial attorney, business litigator, and trusted advisor to clients across a variety of industries, is a named partner in Hickey Hauck Bishoff Jeffers & Seabolt (HHBJS). Before joining HHBJS, he spent 20 years practicing law at two prominent national and international law firms. He formed his own firm in 2016, which was named the Best Business Litigation Boutique in Michigan (2020) by U.S. Business News Legal Elite.
Seabolt earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics and economics at University of Michigan, and a Juris Doctorate from Cornell Law School. Recognition and awards he has received, include: Michigan Super Lawyers for Business Litigation, Best Lawyers in America, America's Top 100 High Stakes Litigators. He was named to the DBusiness list of 30 in their 30s in 2010.
