Shail P. Shah to Speak on CalTax Mass Appeal: Notable Decisions and Trends at the Office of Tax Appeals Webinar

SAN FRANCISCO - Sept. 3, 2024 - Greenberg Traurig, LLP Tax Practice Shareholder Shail P. Shah will speak the CalTax Foundation "Mass Appeal: Notable Decisions and Trends at the Office of Tax Appeals" webinar Sept. 10.

The webinar will cover important updates, decisions, and trends at the Office of Tax Appeals. Along with three other panelists, Shah will discuss corporate income taxes, among other topics.

Shah has been helping clients address California tax problems for more than 15 years. Shah's clients range from Fortune 25 companies to high-net-worth individuals. He focuses his practice on complex California tax planning and representation in front of the California Franchise Tax Board, California Department of Taxation and Fee Administration, Office of Tax Appeals, Board of Equalization, and various administrative and judicial adjudicating forums at both the state and local levels. He provides advice on both proactive residency planning and residency audit defense.

Shah's experience includes working as an attorney at the California Franchise Tax Board. He utilizes his experience to attempt to turn audits into potential refund opportunities, using tax assessments as openings to persuade state agencies that his clients may be due refunds. Shah is an executive committee member of the Tax Section for the California Lawyers Association.
