Photography student begins placement at Cornish dairy

Commercial Photography BA student Raquel Rodrigues has started an exciting work placement at Cornish dairy company Rodda's.

Rodda's, which began in Eliza Jane Rodda's farmhouse kitchen in 1890, is a brand now synonymous with the Cornish Cream Tea and is enjoyed all over the world.

We caught up with Raquel about how the placement is going, how it'll help with her course, and her plans for the future.

How did the placement come about?

It's a funny story. There wasn't an official placement available at Rodda's, but I've always admired their brand and online presence, so at the start of summer, I updated my CV and put together a portfolio aligned with Rodda's brand identity. I took a chance and walked in, essentially pitching myself for an internship or placement opportunity. Thankfully, they were open to the idea, and that's how it all started! I began in July, and the placement is still ongoing.
