PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia (the Chamber) is proud to announce the release of the Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia 2024 Report. This report celebrates the exceptional civic engagement of businesses across the region, recognizing organizations of all sizes that have demonstrated a strong commitment to driving social impact through the use of their time, talent, and resources.
The Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia, an initiative led by the Chamber with support from its lead partner, the Philadelphia Foundation, is modeled after the national Civic 50 program by Points of Light, a globally recognized nonprofit. Since its inception in 2011, the Civic 50 has set a national standard for superior corporate citizenship, showcasing how companies can leverage their resources to benefit both their business and the community.
Key findings from the 2024 report include:
The 2024 report highlights the practices of the top 50 regional and national corporate citizens, offering a pathway for engagement for other businesses. Developed by experts convened by Points of Light, the Civic 50 indicators provide the country's best framework for designing high-impact civic engagement programs. Thousands of companies, including many from Greater Philadelphia, have used this model to enhance their community engagement efforts.

This year's honorees, the fourth cohort since the program's launch in 2020, include companies of various sizes and industries, demonstrating that businesses of all types can contribute to their communities while achieving commercial success. The report reveals that 100% of the honorees integrate community engagement into their business functions, with significant focus areas including employment and workforce development, education, health and wellbeing, and more.
