The University of Toledo Lake Erie Center will host Nicole Wright, an aquaculture extension educator with the Ohio Sea Grant, for a free, public lecture on Nov. 14.
"Fish Farming, Food Systems and Recreation Aquaculture in Ohio" begins at 7 p.m.
Aquaculture encompasses the breeding, rearing and harvesting of fish and other aquatic organisms in natural and man-made environments. Wright will discuss what aquaculture looks like in Ohio, including the challenges and opportunities of this agriculture sector.
The UToledo Lake Erie Center is at 6200 Bay Shore Road in Oregon.
Attendees can arrange transportation on a free shuttle leaving Main Campus at 6:15 p.m. by emailing [email protected] or calling 419.530.8360 by Tuesday, Nov. 12.
