Torrey Pines Drive Improvements To Cause Lane Restrictions

Work Scheduled From Oct. 7 through Dec. 6

Starting Monday, Oct. 7, and continuing through Friday, Dec. 6, Torrey Pines Drive will be under construction between Gowan and Craig roads. Traffic will generally be restricted to one through lane for north- and southbound traffic. Primary work activities include utility lowering, milling, paving, raising of utilities and installation of delineation.

Work activities will take approximately 10 hours each day. Milling and paving operations will begin on Oct. 7, and will take approximately three weeks, subject to weather and equipment availability. Rancho Drive or Rainbow Boulevard are alternate traffic routes.

Preliminary work was completed consisting of improvements to the sidewalk areas to meet federal requirements for the Americans with Disabilities Act, including the reconstruction of concrete cross gutter, curb and gutter.

HOLCIM-SWR, Inc. is the contractor. The city of Las Vegas is managing the project. The estimated cost of the work is $1.2 Million funded with motor vehicle fuel tax.
