A footpath resurfacing and reconstruction programme in west Hull will begin next week.

The scheme will cover River Grove, Vincent Close, Datchet Garth, Lulworth Avenue, Lymington Garth and Newington Avenue.

Works will be carried out by Wright Civil Engineering Limited and will also cover Boothferry Road on the north side of the carriageway between Belgrave Drive and Newington Avenue.

River Grove will be the first street to undergo the footpath improvements on the southern side of the footpath only starting on Monday 25 November and which are expected to be complete by Friday 20 December.

After the Christmas break, Wright Civil Engineering will then commence resurfacing and reconstruction works on the northern side of River Grove from Monday 6^th January 2025.

Vincent Close will also be commencing from Monday 25^th November and is expected to be complete by Friday 20^th December.

Datchet Garth resurfacing will begin on Monday 2 December and are scheduled to take two weeks.

The contractor will ensure that there are no excavations/barriers/materials or cabins and plant will remain on site over the Christmas holidays.

The remaining locations will be carried out in 2025, with dates to be confirmed.

Residents of affected streets will be notified via letters in due course.
