Resurfacing Planned on Elm Street/Hector Street, Saint Peters Road in Montgomery, Chester Counties

King of Prussia, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing is planned on Elm Street/Hector Street and Saint Peters Road in Montgomery and Chester counties, under multiple ongoing projects to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across the Philadelphia region.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

• Sunday, July 28, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, and Monday, July 29, through Friday, August 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Elm Street/Hector Street between Fayette Street and Cedar Grove Road/Barren Hill Road in Conshohocken Borough and Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County, for milling and paving.
• Monday, July 29, through Friday, August 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Saint Peters Road between School Road and Temple Road in Warwick and North Coventry townships, Chester County, for milling and paving.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT's contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
