Pedestrian Struck and Killed Saturday Night on Gallatin Pike

The pedestrian killed Saturday night on Gallatin Pike at Walton Lane is identified as a 48-year-old Nashville man. Efforts continue to notify his next of kin.

The preliminary investigation shows that he was attempting to cross Gallatin Pike on the south side of the intersection when he was struck at 9:50 p.m. He died at the scene. The driver reported that he had the green light as he traveled through the intersection. There was no evidence of drug or alcohol involvement at the scene. The collision occurred outside a crosswalk.
