MURDER INVESTIGATION - 2200 BLOCK OF SPAULDING STREET

Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a male adult that occurred on Nov. 13, 2024 in the 2200 block of Spaulding Street.

At approximately 7:33 a.m., officers were dispatched to assist the Long Beach Fire Department with a medical emergency.

Upon arrival, officers learned the victim was inside a parked vehicle and determined deceased by Long Beach Fire personnel. The decedent is only being identified as a male adult, pending notification to next of kin by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene to further investigate. The preliminary investigation revealed the victim was shot in the upper body. The motive for the shooting and the circumstances of the incident are still under investigation.
