President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
The Head of State thanked him for organizing an extraordinary meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council, which was held yesterday at Ukraine's request. At the meeting, the Ukrainian side presented detailed information regarding Russia's use of a new ballistic missile that targeted Dnipro.
The President stated that Ukraine expects a decisive and timely response from the Alliance to Russia's expansion of the war. In particular, on December 3 and 4, a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council at the foreign minister level will be held in Brussels. Ukraine relies on support for the transfer of air defense systems capable of intercepting such missiles. The list of air defense systems in service with NATO countries was handed over to Ukraine's partners.
The Head of State also stressed the importance of Ukraine receiving an invitation to NATO and continuing its defense cooperation with the Alliance. Additionally, the conversation addressed the supply of long-range weaponry and the urgent need to deliver arms from the previously announced aid packages.
In addition, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Mark Rutte discussed the global risks posed by the alliance between Russia, Iran and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. In particular, the issue of Russia transferring its modern military technologies in exchange for weapons.
