Altoona's Maya Barrios selected AMCC Women’s Wrestler of the Week
Penn State Altoona student-athlete Maya Barrios, of Portland, OR, was announced as the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Women's Wrestler of the Week on Monday, Dec. 9.

NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. - Penn State Altoona student-athlete Maya Barrios, of Portland, OR, was announced as the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Women's Wrestler of the Week on Monday, Dec. 9.
Barrios went 3-0 in the Muhlenberg Novice Tournament on Dec. 8. She wrestled at 124 and won all three of her matches by pin.
Penn State Altoona women's wrestling has competed in three events to date in its inaugural season as an NCAA sport at Ivyside. Next up for the Lions, the team holds its home opener on Monday, Jan. 20, facing non-conference opponent Alvernia University for a dual at 1:30 p.m.
