The Rev. Dr. Sue Coller, lead pastor at the First Presbyterian Church in Lincoln, Neb., will visit campus on the week of Sept. 17 as part of the University of the Ozarks' Struthers Visiting Pastoral Study Leave Program. She will lead the weekly Chapel Service at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept 19.

Coller has been ordained in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) for over 30 years, serving in both small and larger churches, as pastor, interim pastor, and presbytery executive. She has led First Presbyterian Church in Lincoln since 2015.

Coller is passionate about providing a safe place and culture where faith is nurtured, curiosity is encouraged, diversity welcomed, and all are loved. She also has a passion for helping people live a faith that impacts their lives beyond the church.

Her go to re-energizing place is in nature, which she finds to be an incredibly powerful source of inspiration and connection. She is married to Linda, with whom she shares a love of dogs, and has two dogs, Jolie, a black and tan coonhound, and Kaie, a Welsh springer spaniel.

Coller received her bachelor's degree in religion and archaeology from Boston University, her master of divinity degree from San Francisco Theological Seminary, and her doctor of ministry degree in church revitalization from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago.

The Pastoral Study Leave Program was established in 2005 by the late Rev. Dr. James R. Struthers of Stillwater, Okla., a long-time member of the University's Board of Trustees. Struthers established the program to bring Presbyterian pastors to the U of O campus for personal and professional development.
