Arcadia Firefighters Set Standard in Pediatric Seizure Care

The Arcadia Fire Department is proud to announce that it leads Los Angeles County with an incredible 93% compliance rate in the PediDOSE trial, a study comparing two methods of administering life-saving medication (midazolam) for pediatric seizures during emergencies.

This success is thanks to our dedicated firefighters who receive monthly training led by a nurse educator, ensuring that Arcadia firefighters deliver the best care to our community when it matters most.

The next highest City has a compliance rate of 73%, while the average compliance rate among the 28 fire departments in Los Angeles County is 49%.
