League City Traffic and Street crews are busy this morning checking all areas for rain and wind damage from Hurricane Beryl. The storm brought up to 6 inches in some parts of the City. If you see a downed power line, traffic light outage, tree limbs blocking roadways, or flooded roadways, call Public Works at 281-554-1086.
Only call 911 if there is a fire or medical emergency.
All residents are encouraged to stay home and stay off the roadways. If you must be on the road, never drive into a flooded area. Just 12 inches of water can carry a car away.
As of 7:30 a.m., nearly 10,000 people are without power. To report a power outage call Texas-New Mexico Power at 1-888-866-7456 or visit their website at www.tnmp.com. The city does NOT repair power lines or restore power outages.
