September 25, 2024: Grand Jury Indictment Unsealed: Suspected Serial Rapist Charged in 26-Count Indictment Involving 11 Victims

If convicted as charged, Terrance Hawkins faces the possibility of life in prison

LOS ANGELES - Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced today that Terrance Hawkins was indicted by the Los Angeles County Criminal Grand Jury. He is charged in a 26-count indictment involving 11 victims throughout the county that includes forcible rape, intimate partner violence, and stalking.

"This is a truly egregious case and I want to acknowledge and commend the bravery of the women who have come forward to share their painful experiences. It takes incredible courage to speak out, especially when facing such trauma," District Attorney Gascón said. "My office remains steadfast in supporting survivors and ensuring that abusers are held accountable."

The indictment was unsealed Sept. 23 in case 24CJCF05702. Hawkins pleaded not guilty to all charges at his arraignment in Dept. 100 of the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center. His pretrial hearing is scheduled for Oct. 21 in Department 109 of the same courthouse.

Hawkins (dob 8/25/82) of Los Angeles is charged in the indictment with 10 counts of forcible rape, one count of forcible sexual penetration, one count of rape of an unconscious person, four counts of inflicting injury on a significant other causing traumatic condition with a prior conviction for a similar offense, five counts of inflicting injury on a significant other causing traumatic condition, three counts of stalking, one count of cruelty to an animal, and one count of felon in possession of a firearm.

From 2014 to 2023, Hawkins is accused of dating and physically and sexually abusing women throughout the county.

If convicted on all charges, he faces life in prison. Hawkins is being held without bail.

The case was investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department.
