SmartySearch the gateway to grant opportunities for not-for-profits

Published on 04 July 2024

Mildura Rural City Council is using a new platform to provide not-for-profit groups with a 'one-stop-shop' of available funding sources.

The SmartySearch platform, which collates all available funding opportunities, has been added to Council's website, and along with Council's existing grant opportunities, provides one central location for local groups to visit and search from.

SmartySearch is a simple-to-use tool that lists government, philanthropic, corporate and foundation grant opportunities sourced from a nationwide database.

Councillor for Community Development and Gender Equity Helen Healy said the grant search tool was a great option for not-for-profit businesses, individuals, schools, sporting clubs and organisations.

"In the current economic climate it can be more challenging than ever for not-for-profit groups, clubs and organisations to fund their next project or initiative, or in some cases to simply keep operating," Cr Healy said.

"This makes it more important than ever for these groups to be able to quickly and easily source grant funding opportunities, which is what SmartySearch is designed to do."

Anyone seeking funding through SmartySearch can do so by visiting mildura.vic.gov.au/SmartySearch.
