PCSO Rescues Dog from Canal

On August 19, the Pinal County Sheriff's Office received a call for a distressed dog in a flooded canal. Two deputies who conveniently kept lassos in their patrol units arrived on the scene and were able to lasso the dog and rescue him from the canal.

The rescued dog, identified as Aspen through a microchip, is now in the shelter's care. Despite being microchipped, the shelter has been unable to contact the owners, and no one has come forward to claim Aspen.

Despite his ordeal, Aspen is a very happy and laid-back boy. He has been extremely friendly with people and other dogs. He is now available for adoption, foster care, and rescue transfer at Pinal County Animal Care & Control. Learn More About Aspen
