Tillys, a California-based retailer of casual apparel, footwear, and accessories, partnered with the Los Angeles Chargers to host their second annual "Beyond the Game" event at SoFi Stadium on Monday, December 2nd. Held in the Chargers' state-of-the-art locker room, the evening focused on the conversation around youth mental wellness for athletes from the Snoop Youth Football League, a cause championed by the Chargers, Tillys, and Tilly's Life Center.
The event brought together over one hundred kids from the Snoop Youth Football League for a fun-filled and educational gathering. To kick off the evening, a panel featuring Chargers linebacker Daiyan Henley, Chargers Senior Director of Player Engagement Arthur Hightower, Chris Reed from the Center for Healing and Justice through Sport, and Eric Kenneth, a teacher at and ex-student of the Tilly's Life Center, discussed their personal, life-changing experiences relating to adolescent mental wellness. Reed then led attendees through a series of trust- and team-building initiatives, followed by a wrap-up dinner.
