Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks will travel to Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division in King George County, Virginia; and Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division in Charles County, Maryland; tomorrow to view Navy research, development, testing and evaluation projects; to include hypersonics, directed energy, counter-uncrewed systems technologies (c-UXS) and energetics.

While there, she will meet with military and civilian staff to receive feedback on the Department's Taking Care of People initiatives and workforce development priorities.

The Deputy Secretary will return to Washington, D.C. later that same day.
