AP-NORC Poll Finds Most Latinos Support Abortion Access

A new poll from the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows that a solid majority of Latinos - whether they're Catholic, Protestant, or religiously unaffiliated - believe abortion should be legal in most or all cases.

According to the poll: "Around 6 in 10 Hispanic Protestants and about two-thirds of Hispanic Catholics say abortion should be legal in all or most cases. A similar share think Congress should pass a law guaranteeing access to legal abortions nationwide."

The DCCC recently released a memo that laid out how Latinos' key support for reproductive freedom will be critical to Democrats' ability to take back the House.

While Latinos have made clear they reject abortion bans, MAGA Republicans have doubled down on their efforts to take away their rights and freedoms. Since the first days of their majority, House Republicans have passed at least four anti-abortion measures targeting everything from doctors who perform abortions to reproductive care for members of the armed services. They have introduced multiple federal abortion bans - including the Life at Conception Act, which would ban abortion nationwide without exception.

DCCC Spokesperson José Muñoz:
"What is there to say that hasn't already been said. Poll after poll confirms Latinos support abortion rights. House Republicans want to take away their freedoms. See you in November."
