Bowman Adds Bryan Seitz as Director of Business Development, Ports and Harbors

Bryan Seitz has joined Bowman as director of business development for the ports and harbors division. His appointment marks a significant step for Bowman as the Company continues to offer value added services in the maritime sector.

With nearly 20 years of experience, Bryan brings a comprehensive understanding of port operations and development. He will apply this experience to grow Bowman's ports and harbors practice and establish the Company as a premier service provider in the industry. Bryan will also leverage his reputation with public and private maritime clients to build and strengthen relationships, with a particular emphasis on the Gulf of Mexico and the East Coast.

His tenure with the Port of Houston Authority makes him a valuable asset for bringing lessons learned from handling the complexities of running large-scale port operations while planning and implementing infrastructure modernization and upgrade projects. He brings a complete supply-chain experience with shipping lines, labor, operations, maintenance, trucking, rail and 3PL logistics service providers. Bryan has intimate operational understanding of all key infrastructure elements including channel, wharfs, container yard, cargo handling equipment, terminal operating systems and intermodal operations and capital projects from inspection to completion, bringing knowledge of managing both brownfield and greenfield port terminal developments.

Bryan has worked on several notable projects throughout his career, most notably the Barbours Cut entry gate complex redevelopment at the Port of Houston, a 30-acre redevelopment project that provides the infrastructure necessary to double the capacity of the terminal at full buildout. The multi-phased project was designed and constructed within the footprint of the existing gate complex, which at the time of construction was processing three thousand container truck transactions per day. Upon completion, it was processing five thousand container truck transactions a day and at full buildout will process greater than ten thousand container truck transactions per day.
