Washington, DC, Dec. 17, 2024 - Shannon Miller, seven-time Olympic medalist and member of the legendary "Magnificent Seven" team that won the first-ever team gold for U.S. women's gymnastics in 1996, will be the keynote speaker to open the 2025 NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference (SDC2025), taking place March 25-27 in New Orleans.
At SDC2025, Miller will encourage attendees to embrace challenges, overcome obstacles and achieve greatness in their own lives as she shares her story: "The Gold Medal Mindset: Teamwork, Resilience and a Commitment to Excellence."

"We are thrilled to welcome Shannon Miller to SDC2025 and know her story will motivate attendees to reach for excellence in all aspects of life," said NBAA Senior Vice President, Events and Professional Engagement Jo Damato, CAM. "Her keynote will set the tone for what is sure to be an inspirational week of education and networking in New Orleans."
Miller is one of the most decorated gymnasts in U.S. history and the only female athlete to be inducted into the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame twice - individually and as a member of the 1996 Olympic gymnastics team. She also became the first U.S. gymnast to win two World All-Around titles, and her five-medal haul at the 1992 Olympics was the most by any U.S. athlete in any sport that year.
Following her retirement from competition, Miller earned undergraduate degrees in marketing and entrepreneurship from the University of Houston and a law degree from Boston College before founding a company devoted to helping women make their health a priority.
A cancer survivor herself, after being diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer, Miller has turned her experience into a platform to inspire others, advocating for early detection, research, survivorship and awareness. She remains active in the gymnastics and Olympic communities as an analyst and commentator.
SDC2025, taking place at New Orleans' Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, is the premiere event for business aviation schedulers and dispatchers. With a theme this year of "navigating tomorrow, today," the conference is the place to stay up-to-date on best practices, connect with hundreds of exhibitors showcasing the latest products and services, and take advantage of unique networking opportunities.
