City of Dublin Dedicates the New Iron Horse Trail Bridge

City of Dublin leaders, staff, and community members gathered this morning for the dedication and opening of the new Iron Horse Trail Bridge. The new bridge, 230 feet in length, provides safe passage over Dublin Boulevard for pedestrians and bicyclists using the Iron Horse Trail. The new bridge will also facilitate improved traffic flow on Dublin Boulevard. The entire project length is approximately 1,200 feet.

The Iron Horse Trail Bridge was craned into place in the early morning hours of Sunday, October 22, 2023. Following the bridge's placement, additional work, including adding the concrete path and building out the touchdown landings on either side of the bridge, was required.

During the ceremony, special thanks were paid the Alameda County Transportation Commission (ACTC) for their support at every phase of the project and significant financial contribution to help make this project feasible. Gratitude was also extended to the thank many other partner agencies for their including tast Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD), Tri-Valley Transportation Council, Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD), Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA), Alameda Countty Public Works Agency, and the Boulevard development.
