November 12th, 2024 - ASPEN, CO - Pitkin County gathered as a community on Veterans Day to honor the service, dedication, and sacrifice of local veterans in a heartfelt ceremony held in front of the County Administration Office. Residents, local leaders, and families joined together to express their gratitude to those who have served and protected our nation's freedoms.
The ceremony featured speeches, tributes, and moments of reflection as attendees paid their respects to veterans from across generations. Community members attended to show support for the men and women who have served. Attendees had the chance to connect with veterans personally, sharing stories and expressions of gratitude.
"Veterans Day is a time for us to gather as a community to recognize the selfless service of our veterans and celebrate our contributions as Americans." said Adam Lazaro Pitkin County Veteran Services Officer
Following the ceremony, the community came together for a lunch hosted at the Aspen Elks Lodge, where attendees continued the conversations and tributes.
