HACU's 38th Annual Conference to feature workshops on excellence and equity in leadership

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities 38th Annual Conference will feature topics on "Excellence and Equity in Leadership," under track four. More than 50 workshops that address the theme, "Championing Hispanic Higher Education Success: Reaching New Heights of Excellence and Equity," will be offered in seven tracks. The Conference will be held at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center, Nov. 1-3, 2024, in conjunction with pre-conference events.

The following are the workshop topics to be presented under Track Four - Excellence and Equity in Leadership:

  • Breaking the Adobe Ceiling: Empowering Latina Leaders in Higher Education
  • HACU Professional Leadership Programs - Preparing the Next Generation of Culturally Diverse Leaders
  • Experiences of LGBTQ+ Latinx Students at California Community College HSIs
  • New Jersey City University's Turnaround from a $20 Million Deficit
  • Mitigating Silos: Cross-functional Collaboration to Foster Engagement and Cultivate Leadership
  • The Best Kept Secret in Developing Latina(o) CC Leaders NCCHC Fellows Alumni: Lessons Learned
  • Advancing Equity in Academia: Incorporating DEI into Promotion and Tenure
