Signal Activation this Week at Route 743/Conewago Trail Improvement Project in Lancaster County

​Harrisburg, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a traffic signal will be activated this week at the Route 743 intersection with the Conewago Recreation Trail in Mount Joy Township, Lancaster County. The trail is located just north of Beverly Road near the Dauphin County line.

The signal is expected to be placed on flash mode tomorrow night, Tuesday, July 16, then be fully activated on Thursday, July 18.

This project consists of traffic signal installation to assist pedestrians and bicyclists in crossing the road, trail crossing improvements, and other miscellaneous construction at the Route 743 intersection with the Conewago Recreation Trail.

Kinsley Construction of York, PA, is the contractor on this $406,600 project. All work is expected to be completed by September 23, 2024.
