Fredericksburg, Texas - The City of Fredericksburg recently partnered with BetterHelp, the leading online therapy platform, to provide its employees with support for their mental wellbeing.
"The City of Fredericksburg is excited to join with BetterHelp to give our employees this additional benefit," Human Resources Director Tammie Loth said. "We believe our employees are our No. 1 asset, and this service gives them access to therapy, which research shows can improve professional performance, stress levels, and even quality of sleep."
The City's more than 200 employees now have access to independently licensed therapists, who are licensed by their state's professional board after successfully completing the necessary education, exams, and training. The 30,000+ therapists on BetterHelp represent a wide variety of expertise, backgrounds, and therapy modalities.
To participate, employees can complete a questionnaire to match them with the right therapist, based upon preferences and needs. Once matched with a therapist, employees can see their availability and book a session. The therapist can communicate with employees via phone, video or live chat. Employees can also send therapists a message at any time.
