DCCC Releases New TV Ad in OH-09: “Just Wrong”
Today, the DCCC released a new TV ad in the race for OH-09, "Just Wrong," highlighting Derek Merrin's support for a total abortion ban that would jail women and children and threaten the reproductive freedoms Ohio women fought hard to protect.
In the statehouse, Merrin "shepherded " a six-week abortion ban as chair of the Ohio House Health Committee, and co-sponsored a total abortion ban with no exceptions for rape, incest, or a woman's life.
His legislation would classify abortion as a crime, putting women and 13 year old girls in prison under charges of aggravated abortion murder.
The ad - the third to run in OH-09 from the DCCC IE - is airing in the Toledo media market beginning today and is part of the committee's previously announced investments in key battleground districts.

"The most important part of my job is offering patients choices about their own health.
So it's maddening to see politicians like Derek Merrin say he won't give up interfering in a woman's personal decision.
He led the effort to ban abortion with no exceptions for rape or to save a woman's life.
He even supported putting 13 year old girls in prison under charges of aggravated abortion murder.
Derek Merrin is just wrong for women and wrong for Ohio.
