Westpac & St.George are continuing to provide support for customers affected by storms and ongoing power disruption in Broken Hill and the far west region of NSW.
"The ongoing situation in Broken Hill has caused significant inconvenience and disruption for our customers in the region, but our team has been there to help throughout," said Diana Diab, State General Manager, NSW Regional & ACT, Westpac & St.George.
"Despite challenging weather conditions and the disruption to power supplies in Broken Hill, our Westpac & St.George branch in town has remained open throughout. Our Bank Manager Aimee Gottardo and the team are there to help the community with essential banking services, and I'd like to thank the team and our customers for their patience and understanding during a challenging time," continued Ms Diab.
Support available for affected customers:

Home loan customers may apply to defer repayments.

Customers with home and contents insurance may be eligible to make a claim.

Credit card customers may apply to defer repayments to their card, while customers experiencing hardship may also be offered a halt on all interest accrual on unsecured credit products for a period.

Term deposit customers experiencing hardship may apply to waive the minimum notice period to access funds prior to maturity.

Business loan customers may apply to defer repayments.

Business customers with merchant facilities are eligible to receive assistance, including monthly terminal access fee refunds.
