At their regular meeting on November 19, 2024, the Camden County Board of Commissioners proudly recognized Captain James Marr of Camden County Fire Rescue (CCFR) as the Employee of the Quarter. This honor came after the Employee Recognition Committee received several compelling nominations, with Captain Marr standing out for his exceptional contributions and leadership.
Captain Marr's colleagues didn't hold back in their praise, highlighting his dedication, positive attitude, and tireless commitment to training. They described him as a leader who builds camaraderie and inspires growth, always bringing good humor and a strong sense of purpose to his work. His efforts have shaped a training environment where firefighters thrive, leaving a lasting impact on the department.
Joining Camden County Fire Rescue in 2013 as a recruit, Captain Marr has grown into a vital member of the team. As Training Captain, he now oversees fundamental programs that prepare new recruits and enhance the skills of the entire department. His work ensures CCFR is always ready to serve and protect the Camden County community.
