Fire services within local authorities benefit from Navy's assistance in conducting First Efficiency Bar Examination

At the request of the Chief Ministry of the Eastern Province, Trincomalee, the Sri Lanka Navy rendered assistance to conduct First Efficiency Bar Examination for fire services within the departments of local government. The practical examination will be held from 20^th to 22^nd August 2024 at the Naval and Maritime Academy.

Sixty (60) firemen from the Municipal Councils of Kalmunai, Batticaloa and Akkraipattu as well as Urban Councils of Ampara and Trincomalee are expected to participate in this First Efficiency Bar Examination.

The Navy provided this technical and expert assistance to the local government as a measure of Military Aid to Civil Authority (MACA). Meanwhile, the examination is conducted with the assistance of Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Defence (NBCD) School and Dockyard Fire Service.
