Malakoff Deepens Collaboration with TNB Genco Through TNB SSJ Kenyir Site Visit

On 12 September, Malakoff Corporation Berhad ("Malakoff") visited TNB SSJ Kenyir to strengthen its networking with TNB Genco. The primary objective of the visit was to foster collaboration by exchanging best practices and knowledge in key operational areas, particularly focusing on risk management, business continuity, and emergency preparedness.

The visit was part of an ongoing initiative, that began with a previous successful risk management sharing session at Malakoff's Tanjung Bin Power Plant ("TBPP") in Johor where representatives from Malakoff engaged in a comprehensive exchange of knowledge and best practices.

During the visit, Malakoff representatives gained valuable insights about TNB SSJ Kenyir's operations, risk management practices, integrity management, business continuity management, emergency preparedness, security protocols and lessons from the 2022 landslide incident involving a temporary shutdown due to the collapse of a high-voltage transmission tower caused by a landslide.

The visit concluded with a facility tour around the SSJ Kenyir. This experience emphasised the importance of being prepared and resilient to overcome operational challenges while also strengthening the relationship between Malakoff and TNB Genco.
