Mutual Aid Provided to Line Fire

The City of Riverside Fire Department has assigned a Fire Captain to serve in an overhead role as a Training Incident Specialist Trainee with the Incident Management Team for the Line Fire. This position is responsible for checking in personnel and verifying that they hold the necessary qualifications (RED CARDS) for their assigned roles. Trainees in overhead positions, such as Safety Officers and Public Information Officers, work under the guidance of a mentor to gain the necessary qualifications for their roles. This experience is valuable and will benefit the home agency in managing major incidents. The Training Incident Specialist will also ensure proper documentation is completed and all information is logged into the Incident Management Team's database for record-keeping.
