One of god's greatest gifts: Imagination

Our imagination is one of God's greatest gifts to us.
For when we imagine, we experience the lives of others.
We can picture ourselves in their circumstances.
We gain insights about their points of view.
And we cultivate empathy.

When we imagine, we find a path to reflection.
In moments of stillness, we listen to our hearts.
We discern what's truly right and good for us.
And we better understand God's plan for our lives.

When we imagine, our call to serve is clear.
With greater compassion, we help others.
On common ground, we stand in solidarity.
Knowing God, we live in harmony.

God, expand our imaginations.
Grant us the vision to see goodness in all people.
Enlighten us with your will, and bless us with the strength to follow it.

Help us pray with imagination -
so that we can not only think of Jesus, but experience his love.
