Historic bricks on Main Street being repaired

The City of Fort Worth is repairing the historic bricks on Main Street in downtown. During this time, there will be some lane closures and traffic impacts.

Why it matters: Street crews have already finished the 900 and 800 blocks along Main Street. At this time, they are working on the northbound 700 block. Crews are currently working on the right lane, and will move to the left lane next week. After finishing northbound lanes, they will switch to southbound lanes on the 700 block. As of now, depending on the weather, the completion date for the 700 Main St. block is Aug. 19.

Go deeper: As was experienced on the 800 block along Main Street, it may also be necessary to impact valet operations during these lane closures. Lane closures will only be necessary when necessary to perform the repair and for the safety of workers, pedestrians and drivers. The work will continue for several months until all the required repairs are made.
