Penn State Altoona student-athletes recognized for academic achievement
Penn State Altoona men's basketball student-athletes Chris Jarosz and Kevin Woodland, Jr., were recognized as part of the 2023-24 National Association of Basketball Coaches' (NABC) Honors Court.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Penn State Altoona men's basketball student-athletes Chris Jarosz, of Toronto, ON, and Kevin Woodland, Jr., of Great Mills, MD, were recognized for their academics on Monday, July 15, when they were both named to the 2023-24 National Association of Basketball Coaches' (NABC) Honors Court.
The NABC's Honors Court recognizes men's college basketball student-athletes from around the country who achieved success in the classroom. To be eligible, players must be juniors, seniors, or graduate students who finished the 2023-24 academic year with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or higher.

Jarosz completed his four-year career with the Penn State Altoona men's basketball program this past season. In 2023-24, the guard played in 13 games, including making a pair of starts. Jarosz was a member of the Sheetz Fellows Program and graduated in May with a degree in business with an emphasis in management and marketing.

Woodland, Jr. played in 24 of Penn State Altoona's 26 games this season, making six starts and seeing 9.5 minutes per game. He is majoring in cybersecurity analytics and operations.
