August 22, 2024 - The Grace A. Dow Memorial Library offers a support group for Alzheimer's and Dementia caregivers. This free support group meets in the Library's Community Room at 1 p.m. two times per month. It provides caregivers with emotional, educational, and social support and encouragement as they take on the demanding task of caring for a loved one living with Alzheimer's and other dementias.

The group is led by an Alzheimer's Association Support Group Facilitator and provides a forum for caregivers to share feelings, needs, and concerns in a confidential, safe, and supportive atmosphere. Caregivers are encouraged to attend alone so that they can be open and honest about their personal experiences.

The upcoming scheduled meeting dates are September 5, September 19, October 3, October 17, November 7, November 21, December 5, and December 19. Please register on the Library's Event Calendar online at gadml.librarycalendar.com or call the Reference Desk at 989-837-3449.
