Thursday, July 25 - The Capitol Theatrein Port Chester, New York has announced that Alyssa Kitchen has been promoted to General Manager. Alyssa's promotion comes after her position as Assistant General Manager and Director of Finance at The Capitol Theatre and her previous role at Relix Media Group. She holds the distinction of being the first female General Manager of The Capitol Theatre.

Born and raised in Paramus, New Jersey, Alyssa Kitchen spent her formative years as a typical "emo kid", skateboarding and working at Vans Apparel Company. She was drawn to bands like Bright Eyes, Brand New, The Used, and Taking Back Sunday, which shaped her early interests and passions. After graduating with a BS in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University, she was approached by Relix Media Group about a position in their accounting department.

It was at this interview that Alyssa met Peter Shapiro and Rachel Baron, experiencing firsthand the vibrant energy of the music industry. She started under the mentorship of Dale Hirschman, who led the finance department for Relix's parent company, Dayglo Ventures. Under Dale's guidance, Alyssa gained invaluable insights into finance, management, and the intricacies of the music business.

Over the next 10 years, Alyssa evolved from a staff accountant at Relix Media Group to Director of Finance at The Capitol Theatre. Motivated by a desire to make a direct impact on the venue's success, Alyssa took on a more operational role as Assistant General Manager, using her background in finance to inform strategic decisions and enhance the overall guest experience.

Alyssa identifies proudly as part of the LGBTQ+ community, advocating for inclusivity and representation within her industry and beyond. She proudly serves to oversee operations and contribute to the venue's rich musical legacy.
