REMINDER: Zach Nunn’s Anti-Abortion Agenda Is a Disaster For Maternal Health Care in Iowa

While touting legislation to improve maternal health care, Zach Nunn conveniently left out the fact that his anti-abortion votes have contributed to Iowa having the fewest OB-GYNs per capita across the nation and one-third of Iowa counties becoming a maternal care desert.

In the state legislature, Nunn voted for a previous version of Iowa's near-total abortion ban, which will not only ban abortion before most women know they're pregnant, but also cut funding for providers, lead to even more clinic closures, and make it more difficult for doctors to provide care during medical emergencies.

With Iowa's abortion ban likely going into effect later this week, Nunn won't be able to hide that his anti-choice record is devastating for Iowa women's maternal health care.
