Professor Lukongo featured as personal loan expert on WalletHub

Southern University associate professor Onyumbe E. Ben Lukongo was recently featured as an expert in WalletHub's article, "Best Personal Loans."

Lukongo, who teaches in the Nelson Mandela College of Government and Social Sciences, shared advice on how loan seekers can identify the best personal loans.

"One shall seriously consider the cost of borrowing, which is the annual percentage rate (APR), including the yearly interest rate, loan service fees, and other costs associated with the origination of the loans and insurance," Lukongo said. "Seek advice before going to the lender facility. If not done well, the financial decision to take out a loan has several implications and complications."

He also encouraged individuals to seek assistance when exploring personal loan options.
