Weekend trackwork: Buses replace trains at some Blue, Orange, and Silver Line stations; Red Line to single track

This weekend, Metro is working on the aerial structure over the Anacostia River, which will cause service outages on the Blue, Orange, and Silver lines.

Crews will work on cross tie renewal, grout pad repair, replace electrical systems, and repair concrete.

Local and express shuttle bus service will replace trains on Saturday from Eastern Market to New Carrollton and Addison Road on Saturday. On Sunday, bus service will replace trains between Eastern Market and Cheverly and Addison Road.

On the Red Line, Metro is repairing leaks as part of the Tunnel Leak Mitigation Project.
